VE3D Reader’s Choice Awards Update: When Flight Sims Attack!

There are only 2.5 days left to vote in the VE3D Reader’s Choice – Best PC Game of 2009 poll, then winners from all of the Reader’s Choice polls will be announced on Friday. So here’s a brief recap:

In mid-December we started the voting for the VE3D 2009 Reader’s Choice Awards. These awards were categorized by genre and the polls received over 40,000 votes. Once the main polling was closed, we took the top game from each genre and put them up against each other in the VE3D Best PC Game of 2009 poll.

At this time DCS: Black Shark has taken a lead in the Best Overall PC Game category. This has a few feathers ruffled, considering that the sim is up against the big guns such as Dragon Age: Origins and Batman: Arkham Asylum. Please bear in mind that there were never any rules against postings on official game sites and the like. So encouraging a community to vote is fine. In fact, during the first round of voting several developers tweeted out the link.
